EPTI’s majority-owned online pharmacy Apotekamo closes an oversubscribed series A financing and takes in 23 million SEK

Venture builder EPTI (“EPTI” or “the Company”) has announced in interim report Q3 2021 that the majority-owned subsidiary Apotekamo AB (“Apotekamo”) has closed an oversubscribed new share issue where the company will receive 23 million. The capital raising sets Apotekamo at a post money valuation of SEK 91 million and the money is intended to strengthen the company’s continued expansion and technology development.

Apotekamo is the market leading online pharmacy within the target region being central and southeastern Europe. Apotekamo is currently operating in Serbia and Bosnia and aims to continue its expansion in the nearby region of Central and Eastern Europe. Apotekamo offers classic webshop functions and payments for products from the company’s suppliers. To suppliers, Apotekamo offers flexible order processing and payment solutions to get their products out to consumers.

Lead investor in the funding round were Schoeller Group which is a european leader within returnable packaging solutions and supply chain systems services. Among EPTI, other investors were Angelgate AG which is a European network of business angels of which EPTI is a member.

Since the start of the year, Serbia has shown keen interest in Apotekamo; the opening month was quickly followed by a 51% increase in visitors and over 150% increase in both orders and products purchased. By March, Apotekamo seemed to have become a staple in the regional health and ecommerce sphere, with a staggering 300+% increase in revenue, marked by now-recurring customers and new shoppers alike.

Now, with an average of 34% increase in orders over H1, the course seems set for Apotekamo to break all previous milestones in a record breaking year for online shopping as new countries get added to the fold, physical stores open and Apotekamo branded buses proudly display our colors across more and more cities.
